Something is Amidst Us

Chapter 3

~Kai POV~

'Sshhhhh! … Darn. How could I not see that that stupid table there in the first place? Stupid foot, probably gonna have a bruise there later. … Whatever, gotta get outta this place... Wait, where exactly is this place anyway?... And like, why the heck would the evil Kai be here!? What does he have anything to do with me?!...'

Fighting with his thought to try and get an understanding of what was going on, Kai was on his careful trek towards the door that was on the other side of the room. Upon reaching the door he tried at the handle a few times gently to get it to open. A few more times with added force was making Kai irritated with it's lack of compliance. Soon though, it became apparent that the door was locked.

The feeling of impatience and irritation soon turned into dread and fear. The fear of being trapped in a place unknown with an enemy started to embed itself into Kai's mind.

His breath started to quicken as he tried at the handle several more times with no luck. He made to turn around, but he wasn't quite prepared for what followed.

A being rammed into Kai's left side like a football player, thoroughly knocking his balance and breath, off and out… Save for a startled yelp upon impact.

With a groan, Kai tried to get up, but something was blocking him from getting up.

A hand was around his throat, and another hand just now pinned both of his own together above his head. The Evil Kai was in a position where his knees were on either side of Kai's thighs, and was leaning forwards. One would say he was close to straddling him, but just a few centimeters off. As he leaned in too close for comfort, as it is, the darker counterpart tightened his hand around Kai's throat. Flaming eyes and bared teeth made for a very disgruntled look.

"Where do you think you're going, darling?"

*strangled whine*

"Cheh, whatever"

The evil counter part released Kai's throat and moved it to his other hand. Kai gratefully took in big gulps of air.

"What's going on? Why am I here?"

"Shhh... I need you. But for now, I've got to get you somewhere."

Before Kai could breath air for another question, Evil Kai gagged and blindfolded him. The next moment, he was being slung over the other's shoulder.

Two giant doors swung open as Evil Kai was escorted into the Grandmaster's room. He set down Kai, which was now tied, to the floor.

Then a sinister robotic voice reached their ears.

"I want you to take him to the exchange room. Change his attire, and once that is done, take him to the lab. The table is set."

"Yes m'lord."

As the door closed again, the grandmaster slithered out from his study. Long silver tail. Black design. Zigzag horns. Piercing purple eyes.

The robotic snake cackled, "Now that one of the ninja is my captive, it won't be long before the others come looking for him. And when the time comes, their Kai will no longer be the Kai they once knew."
